To configure custom SMTP sending with a Google account, you need to generate a special password called the App Password.
Your Google account needs to have 2-Step Verification Enabled to set the App Password. You can do that in https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/signinoptions/twosv
After that go to https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/apppasswords to set your App Password.
If you’ve set up 2-Step Verification but can’t find the option to add an app password, it might be because:
- Your Google Account has 2-Step Verification set up only for security keys.
- You’re logged into a work, school, or another organization account.
- Your Google Account has Advanced Protection.
Now you can go to https://app.responsly.com/team/emails and add your configuration:
Host: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
Use SSL/TLS Enable
